John G. Morikis

Board of Directors

John Morikis  was appointed a director of Whirlpool Corporation in February 2025. He is a member of the Corporate Governance and nominating Committee and the Human Resources Committee of the board of directors.

Morikis was Executive Chairman of The Sherwin-Williams Company, from January 2024 until his retirement on December 31, 2024.   He served as Chairman from January 2017 to December 2023; Chief Executive Officer from January 2016 to December 2023; President from March 2021 to March 2022 and October 2006 to March 2019; Chief Operating Officer from October 2006 to January 2016; and President, Paint Stores Group from October 1999 to October 2006. Mr. Morikis joined Sherwin-Williams in 1984 as a management trainee in the Paint Stores Group.

Mr. Morikis is also a director at General Mills, Inc.
