The Inflation Reduction Act
Through the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, you can lower energy costs by upgrading your existing home appliances. The Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate (HEAR) provides eligible consumers a rebate to save money on purchasing new electric appliances. This includes the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate, savings for an Energy Star-certified electric heat pump clothes dryer and stove, cooktop, range or oven.

You may be eligible for a Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate if you:
- Upgrade appliances in your home
- Live in a single-family or multi-family home
- Are low-income and/or medium-income
- Participate in an eligible federal program

Rebates are launching in states at various times, most of which will be in 2024. Please check your state’s energy office to see when rebate programs are available.
