Investing in U.S. Manufacturing for Over 100 Years and Counting.

Based in Benton Harbor, Michigan, Whirlpool Corporation has invested in America for over a century. As the only major U.S.-based manufacturer of kitchen and laundry appliances, our commitment to American manufacturing supports over 14,000 manufacturing jobs across our 10 U.S. plants.
With approximately 80% of our products manufactured in America, we lead the industry in domestic production. It starts with American steel and ends in the homes of consumers we’re proud to serve.

Built in the U.S. to Improve Life at Home
Unlike our major competitors, Whirlpool Corporation builds and produces a vast majority of its U.S. products in American factories. Whirlpool Corporation started in America and stayed in America. Because for us, improving life at home starts by building close to home.
That commitment runs through our iconic brands trusted by Americans for generations: Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag, JennAir, Amana, and Insinkerator.
Our strategy is grounded in building where we sell, which is why approximately 80 percent of the products we sell in the U.S. are made in America, while the average for the rest of the industry is just around 25 percent. That approach helps us innovate faster, invest more deeply in our workforce and better support our communities and customers.
No competitor is even close to our level of domestic production:
Highest percentage of U.S. manufacturing among appliance producers
Approximately 96% of the steel used in our U.S. products is sourced from the U.S.
Over 30% of our North American product lineup is new in 2025
