Whirlpool was honored for Training and Change Management for the design, development, and implementation of the Building People Excellence Program, being recognized with the “AIDP Award 2017″ at the 46th National Congress of the Italian Association for People Management.
AIDP Award 2017 is the Italian national competition that rewards best practices for projects of particular value and relevance in the field of Human Resources Development.
The competition, held during 12-14 May in Genoa as a part of the 46th AIDP National Congress, recognized the most innovative HR projects developed in the following areas: Diversity & Inclusion, Digital HR & Innovation, Welfare, Engagement, Compensation & Benefit, Leadership for Excellence, Training & Change Management, Labor Law, and Industrial Relations.
The project finalists in the AIDP Award 2017 were chosen by a Commission consisting of AIDP members, HR experts, and the partners of the initiative. Whirlpool EMEA was one of the finalists thanks to its Building People Excellence Program.
The Building People Excellence Program was born as an enabler for the Whirlpool-Indesit integration process. The program was designed to support all employees in the EMEA region with resources for People Management & Development. Through a set of internally-designed workshops, the program enables improvement of People Leader Effectiveness rating, boosting engagement and driving a Winning Mindset at all level of the organization. Up to now, it involved about 5,000 people who took part in over 600 workshop sessions and received about 2,000 hours of training. The program will continue this year with new sets of workshops.
“We are very proud to be recognized with the AIDP Award for the Building People Excellence Program,” said Francesca Morichini, Vice President Human Resources, Whirlpool EMEA. “This award is a recognition of our constant commitment to our people who are our X-factor and the main driving force behind the success of Whirlpool.”
