We’re proud to be included in the US Department of Energy’s 2015 “Distributed Wind Market Report”. We’re mentioned by name in three different locations; most notably a photo of our Findlay Operations with wind turbines in the background is on page 15.
The wind farm in Findlay, Ohio is expected to provide 22% of the plant’s electric needs, the equivalent to the amount required to power 600-800 homes. The completion of Whirlpool Corporation’s newest wind projects in Ottawa and Marion, Ohio has the potential to make Whirlpool Corporation one of the largest Fortune 500 consumers of on-site wind energy in the United States. Collectively, the company expects to generate enough clean energy to power more than 2,4000 average American homes per year.
