The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) honored multiple home appliance industry professionals for exceptional contributions to the industry during AHAM’s 2019 Annual Member Meeting from April 27-30 in Washington, D.C. One of those individuals was Laura Siegrist, senior manager, Government Relations for Whirlpool Corporation, who was recognized with the Emerging Leader Award for contributions to federal advocacy for the home appliance industry.
“It is an honor to receive this award from AHAM, given all of the policy priorities we’ve undertaken as an industry over the last several years,” said Siegrist. “It is an even bigger honor to be able to advocate for Whirlpool and our amazing employees across the country each and every day.”
Laura’s people leader, Vice President of Government Relations Sarah Bovim, said the award was much deserved. “I am so pleased to see industry recognition of Laura’s government advocacy work in Washington DC. They are catching up to what she demonstrates every day and what we already know … she is a star.”
