Jim Keppler, vice president, Integrated Supply Chain and Quality, represented Whirlpool Corporation at the U.S. Manufacturing Council Meeting held recently at the White House, Washington, D.C. Keppler has served on the tax, trade, and export subcommittee. He advocated that the Department of Commerce allocate appropriate resources to police trade and vigorously enforce the penalties when foreign manufacturers violate the law, and also made recommendations on other topics including tax reform, the management of the internet, and creating a “manufacturing workforce.”
