Well before the sun rises, Byron Green is up and moving.
By 7 a.m., he’s got a constant flow of information coming in with tens of thousands of components being made throughout the day. Shipping performance reports are being sent to him. From there, Green tries to understand the hot spots and solve problems moving forward.
In his downtime, Green plans for the short and long term. That means a series of meetings and plant visits.
That’s all in a day’s work for Green, who earlier this year became the vice president of manufacturing for Whirlpool Corp.’s 14 factories in the North American Region.
