As the chill of winter hit southwest Michigan, warmth and generosity poured in for local residents in need this holiday season. The Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency (SMCAA) held their Holiday Food Sharing Program on December 21, sponsored by Whirlpool Corp and The PGA of America. The program collected and distributed approximately 400 turkeys and food boxes to local area residents and families in need of assistance from Benton Harbor, Benton Charter Township, St. Joseph, St. Joseph Township and other Berrien County Communities.
