“It’s an honor to receive this prestigious award acknowledging the success of our latest design. Let’s use this achievement as a springboard in our pursuit of product excellence.”
Sayer Murphy, one of the industrial designers on the project, mentioned, “It’s an honor to receive this prestigious award acknowledging the success of our latest design. Let’s use this achievement as a springboard in our pursuit of product excellence.”
In pursuit of product leadership, one of Whirlpool Corporation design teams worked tirelessly to launch the new Maytag top-load laundry line, with employees Sayer Murphy, Seth Bixby, Jason Park, Nora Langer, Effy Zheng, Joel Shinaberry, Zach Pipik, and Andrea Hutchinson deserving of accolades. Beyond design, the Maytag brand recognizes the cross-functional strength of Whirlpool Corporation and the internal process partners who helped garner this year’s Red Dot Award.
The Red Dot jury of experts evaluates products and selects the best designs based on nine criteria, including degree of innovation, functionality, ergonomics, ecological compatibility, and durability. This year’s Maytag Laundry Pair was chosen for its appeal of intuitive operation, the use of high-quality materials, and its seamless integration into modern rooms.
