KitchenAid, renowned for its professional performance, artisan quality and iconic design, launched its brand new Black Stainless Steel Collection and the first annual limited edition Black Tie Artisan Stand Mixer at two themed events in the brand’s London Experience Store on Thursday 22nd June 2017.
The new collection serves to create a bold, yet classic, statement in homes and kitchens across the UK. The event consisted of a media launch in the morning followed by an unveiling of the new appliances to trade partners in the evening. In the morning, Grant Pierrus, founder of the UK’s leading luxury interiors blog and KitchenAid’s Serious About Food ambassador, spoke to visitors about the latest in kitchen design and the prominence and elegance of ‘black’ within today’s designs trends. A black steel-inspired breakfast was served to guests, consisting of black pancakes with black cherry compote, black buns with crisp bacon and sausage, and mini black pudding quails egg scotch eggs.
The evening event for trade partners continued the black inspired-inspired theme, with creative canapes and a demonstration from Savoy-trained chef, Michael Moore. The menu featured black salmon, black squid ink risotto, mini black burger buns, and black rice sushi rolls with tuna and pickled ginger. A dessert of black wafer and black vanilla ice cream was demonstrated live in the limited edition Black Tie Stand Mixer, and with only 200 of these mixers available in the UK, we expect these to be in great demand.
The new built-in black steel range of appliances will be available in July, and the limited edition Black Tie stand mixer will be available in August.
