Do you believe goodness has its rewards? The kindness of people like the Hernandez family in Chicago and the Montejano family in San Diego, has not gone unnoticed. Maytag brand and their signature charity Boys & Girls Club of America (BGCA), provided big holiday surprises for both families because of their generosity, despite personal hardships.
Chicago dad Rafael Hernandez works two jobs, parents his five children, and still finds time to give back to his community by volunteering at the Union League Boys & Girls Club in Chicago. Hernandez arrived home on Friday to the secret his daughter Anabel, an employee of the Boys & Girls Club, arranged for him. The Boys & Girls Club chose this hard-working family for their persistence despite tough times and outfitted both kitchen and laundry rooms with new Maytag appliances.
Across the country, Rosie Montejano’s family in Escondido, CA, was also one of several area families nominated by the Boys & Girls Club of America to receive three appliances from Maytag. The Montejano family’s five children attend the Escondido Boys & Girls Club while Rosie and husband work full time. Facing considerable adversity, they too find time to support the BGC with both time and donations.
Maytag brand continues to spread joy through the holidays in partnership with Boys & Girls Club of America.
