Community Day
Community Day is the initiative in which Whirlpool employees come together in the name of solidarity and devote one working day to voluntary activities to support non-profit organizations that operate in line with our Corporate Giving Strategy.
Driven by the spirit of solidarity, the initiative is a unique opportunity to strongly reaffirm our values and leave a positive mark on the local communities in which we live and work. In the past two editions, over 600 employees in 10 countries across EMEA have volunteered more than 5,000 to support their local communities

As a “volunteer for one day” myself and participant of both editions, I am extremely proud to work for a company that strives to give back to the local communities where it operates, and encourages its employees to do the same, by supporting organizations to create a collective impact all around.
Thanks to all for this amazing experience. We were working really hard, but it was worth to see the final effect!
“At Whirlpool UK, we believe it is important to support the local community. Our employees were keen to get involved with the Community Week initiative and dedicate time volunteering in our local area. We would like to thank Sue Ryder’s Thorpe Hall Hospice, FoodCycle and Guide Dogs for the Blind for the tireless work they do in caring for our community. We were all delighted be able to give something back.”
