The Michiana Chapter of American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) has honored Whirlpool Corporation as the “Company of the Year” for our efforts to advance supply chain education. On a national level, our company is one of five finalists in the same category, and will be featured in an upcoming edition of the APICS magazine. Both awards were presented on Sept.13, at the APICS Michiana Professional Development Meeting in Elkhart, Ind.
Char Bitnar, senior manager, Inventory Management, for the ISC Planning team, also will be honored as “Board Member of the Year” and will receive her award at the Sept. meeting as well. Char is in her second year on the board, and serves as vice-president, Programs/Publicity.
